Is it possible that Chase will not ask for proof of income for an auto loan?
I put down the accurate yearly income on the application and the dealer approved the loan for me. They did a credit check approved the loan. The dealer is telling me that the loan was approved already and there is nothing further I need to do. It seems odd that the bank would not be requiring proof of income. The loan is for $17600 on a new car.
If your credit is approved, then they typically do not check.
The paperwork you signed when you bought the car says that you are providing accurate information. They usually accept this information in good faith.
If they find out that you lied, it is considered fraud.
However, all Chase cares about is that you make the payments on time. If you get a repossession, Chase will get the car and your credit will go down the tubes, so all things pretty much equal out.
